Noisy Roof Work at Wellington Library
Wellington Library will be having maintenance performed on the roof after hours throughout March 2012.
This is going to involve noisy drilling on the roof from about 5pm onwards, weather permitting. If you need a quiet place to study after 5pm during this time, you may need to consider making other arrangements.
We’re really sorry for the inconvenience.
PBRF Evidence Portfolio assistance: Wellington Library
The 1 October deadline for draft Evidence Portfolios is drawing closer.
Over recent months some staff have attended the PBRF clinics and open days hosted by Research Management Services. These have included a set of bibliometric profiling tools developed by the Library which can help track the progress of published academic work and inform your Evidence Portfolio.
If you weren't able to make one of these sessions or need assistance using the bibliometric tools the Wellington Library staff are offering a follow-up opportunity over the next few weeks. This could take the form of either a one on one consultation session to work through your portfolio, or if you'd rather, a department/group session on the profiling tools and evidence gathering.
Please don't hesitate to email or calll to organize a suitable time to work through these bibliometric tools.

New Science Librarian at Wellington
Lauren Deacon is the newest member of the College Liaison/Information Services team at Wellington Library. She is the Librarian responsible for the College of Sciences.
Lauren will be a familiar face to many around the Wellington campus as she has worked at the Library in the Lending section for over four years.
When she's not at work, Lauren's studying towards her Masters of Information Studies by distance. It’s not all hard graft at the information coalface: she has a stack of public library books waiting to be read, a kitchen full of baking equipment and a (virtual) pile of iTunes purchases to keep her entertained.
Feel free to contact the College Liaison/Information Services team at Wellington Library.
