New books @ Massey
by Katherine Chisholm, College Liaison
Summer can be a time to do some catching up on your reading, and the Library has various ways to help you keep up with the (book) publishing in your area - at least that part of it that we buy!
The traditional way to do this is to check out the new books display, which at Turitea changes every Friday. Get a breath of fresh air on the way.
You can also find out about our new books from your desktop. The New Titles at Massey Library page allows you to generate lists of what’s arrived in the Library this week, last week, or 2, 3, 4 weeks ago. You can generate campus lists, or College lists. There are also separate lists for DVDs, CDs, Nga Kupu Ora, New Zealand and Pacific, Theses, and Junior/Picture books.
New look for Massey Library website
The Massey University website redesign has meant our Library site has also changed. You’ll find the content has remained the same but the look of the site has been updated.
New Massey University Library Web Site
Our new Library web site is now live. The new-look home page gives easy access to the most popular parts of the web site - particularly MyLibrary and searching for books or articles.
We've made some major changes behind the scenes as well. The web site is now more responsive, updated faster and offers improved navigation and templates.
Please note that previous embedded and bookmarked links to Library pages may now be broken, and will need updating. Some forms will now require you to login.
Please let us know what you think of the new Library web site by leaving a comment. If you have any queries please contact us.

"Article Databases" gets a new look
by Julia Old, Electronic Services Librarian
If you are a frequent clicker of the Article Databases link on the Library web site home page, you will soon notice some changes. Early next year, the Article Databases page will be moved from the Library web site to the Library Catalogue.
All of the current features will be available on the new interface:
• Search databases by subject
• Alphabetical list of databases
• List of current database trials
• Ten most-used databases
In addition, some new features will be offered:
• Search databases by name
• Use "About Resource" buttons to link from search results to information about databases, including descriptions, related resources, and associated journal titles
All of the Library’s article databases are now included in the Catalogue, and can therefore be found by doing a title or keyword search.
We hope you find these new features helpful, and do contact us if you have any feedback or questions.
