I used a great book last year for my assignment. But what was it?

by Massey University Library Email

The Reading History in MyLibrary records all the Massey Library items you have borrowed from the time you activate your Reading History. It's great for those times when you need that book you read last year but now can't remember the title. If this sounds like something you might need one day, you should opt in right now.

How to Opt In to Your Reading History
Log in to MyLibrary or My Account.
Click on My Reading History.
Click on the Opt In button. The items you subsequently borrow will now be recorded in your Reading History.

Please note that BONUS+ and Interlibrary Loan items are not recorded in your Reading History.

More information and a short 'Show me how' demonstration on Reading History and other useful features of MyLibrary (such as email alerts and My Lists) are available in MyLibrary Help.

Reader Ratings

Reader RatingsReader RatingsReader RatingsReader RatingsReader RatingsRate that book! You can now rate items in the Library Catalogue, both as a reminder to yourself of how useful they are, and a recommendation (or warning) to others. Ratings range from 1 star (extremely low opinion, would not recommend) through to 5 stars (excellent, highly recommended).

To rate a book or other item, log in to MyLibrary, find the item you want to rate, then click on the number of stars you think it's worth. You can do this in either the classic Library Catalogue or Encore.

To view ratings, log in to MyLibrary to see your own ratings in yellow, or log out to see the average of everyone's ratings in blue. All white stars means the item isn't yet rated.

Folders, Carts & Lists in MyLibrary

by Massey University Library Email

Add To Folder Add to CartWhen you're searching for books, you can save records as you go by adding them to the Folder (classic Library Catalogue) or the Cart (Encore). You can then email, print, request or export the Folder/Cart items (also see My Cart, EndNote & Requesting). However, the Folder/Cart will be retained for the current session only. If you want to remember these records for later, you'll need to take the extra step of saving to My Lists.

Some of the Library web site forms now require a login. The Interlibrary Loan forms for both books and journal articles, and the Extramural Journal Article Request form now ask you to enter your MyLibrary login. This allows the forms to be secure, and streamlines the process of filling them in.
