Computer Skills Help Sheets

by Massey University Library Email

We now have help sheets for Microsoft Office 2010, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, joining the ones already available for Office 2003 and 2007.

These help sheets step you through common computer-related tasks, particularly those needed for producing a well-presented assignment. They are available in the Library in print, or online.

The online sheets are a collaboration between the Library's IT Assistants, and the Centre for Teaching and Learning's OWLL website:

Login Tips

by Massey University Library Email

If you're logging in to the Library Information Commons computers, here are a couple of tips...

  • Use your ID number as user name and Massey PIN as password.
  • If you 'wake up' the computer by hitting the space bar, you need to get rid of the space before typing in your ID number. This one's tripping quite a few people up - you'll get an 'incorrect login' message.
  • You'll probably need to login twice at the moment. The Information Commons computers have a two step login. We're working on fixing this, but in the meantime just repeating your login will get you in.

Still can't login? Please ask us for help.
