Encore Catalogue Upgrade
The Encore catalogue is being upgraded, ready for business first thing on Tuesday 17 January. New features to look out for are advanced searching, requesting in batches from My Cart, and search history.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
NZ Music Month 2011
May is NZ Music Month, a good time to see what the Library has to offer in the way of kiwi music.
Have a look at this catalogue search on New Zealand music. Once you get on to the results page of over 1500 items, you can narrow the search down to find what you're really interested in.
Into rock, rap, underground dance or waiata? Use the tag cloud on the right of the results page to focus on a more specific subject within NZ music. Just click on whatever catches your eye. The bigger the print size of the tag, the more books there are on that topic.
Do you want books, CDs or DVDs? In English or Māori? At Albany or Wellington libraries? Use the lists on the left hand side of the results page to select different types of material. Though don't expect vinyl when you click on 'music record' under Format - that's the official term for CDs (library headings seem to have got stuck in the 70s).
And to start NZ Music Month rolling, here's one of our favourite kiwi clips, Massey old boys JGeek and the Geeks at Albany Library....
