A competition to name the new café in the Albany Campus Library was recently held and nearly 300 suggestions were received. Thank you to everyone who took time to contribute a wealth of fantastic ideas.

After an exhaustive selection process, the Naming Committee decided on “Study Break Café”. The winning name was entered by Leonie Shorter (middle), who won a Bennetts book token and a voucher from The Brasserie, presented by Ngahuia Sapwell, Manager of Study Break Café (left) and Valerie Cohen, Albany Campus Librarian (right). The café’s name aptly reflects those times in the Library when you want to relax with a coffee and a snack and catch up with friends.

The Study Break Café will open for business on Monday 3 May. Opening hours are expected to be:
Monday - Thursday: 9.30am - 9.00pm
Friday: 9.00am - 6.00pm
Saturday - Sunday: 10.00am - 6.00pm
